Linda Garnett has more than 20 years’ experience in senior leadership and strategic management roles in the corporate sector in the UK, Canada, Japan and Australia. She has been responsible for billion dollar deals, new strategic direction of businesses and innovative partnerships. One day she got tired of trying to buy the world and decided to save it instead.
For the last 10 years she has worked in the NFP sector developing shared value partnerships between charities and the corporate sector, working with organisations as diverse as Save the Children, headspace, World Vision, febfast and Cancer Council. Linda is passionate about achieving positive social outcomes through collaboration between corporates and not for profits. She is uniquely placed to bring new and commercial perspectives to partnering with the corporate sector.
Linda is a serial disrupter and loves to challenge the status quo. Once she’s done tap dancing, flying planes and embarrassing her teenagers, she is planning to spend her twilight years plotting a coup in the aged care home.
Sharon Dann has been in love with fundraising and the not for profit sector for almost two decades. Starting her career in 2001 as a backpacking fundraiser, later the same year she started own face-to-face fundraising business. Her breadth of experience also encompasses major gifts, trusts and foundations and 10 years specialising in Corporate Partnerships.
She is an expert in winning, nurturing and growing corporate partnerships, raising millions of dollars for the organisations she has worked with. Whilst at Save the Children UK, she devised and implemented the partnership strategy for the hugely popular ‘Christmas Jumper Day’ campaign. This was successful in securing multi-million dollar partnerships with John Lewis, Westfield, Morrison’s supermarket, Asda and many more.
She is passionate about improving the capability of the sector and wants to help you find the solution to your organisation’s complex problems using corporate partnerships as the vehicle to achieve not only your strategy but to transform your organisation. She has worked with small and large organisations, including Oxfam, Save the Children, Fred Hollows, Amnesty International, Children’s Cancer Institute, Starlight Children’s Foundation, and many others.
When she isn’t bringing charities and corporates together you will find her cheering for Liverpool Football Club, trying (unsuccessfully) to get her baby girl to sleep and drinking copious amounts of red wine (purely for health reasons).
